Shoot the Female Mosquitoes
Female mosquitoes bite humans and transmit diseases like malaria. Every year thousands or more people because of mosquito transmitted diseases. This problem is prevalent in Africa and other developing countries.
Important step to get rid of malaria is stay away from such mosquitoes. Destroy the habitat of mosquitoes, use nets while sleeping in the night etc. In Nepal I used to have the mosquito net all the time in summer.
Scientists are constantly working on to save people from malaria. One new technique uses laser light to kill such mosquitoes. The laser can kill many mosquitoes in seconds. So, keep this laser source in your fens near your house and be safe. This laser device distinguishes mosquito from other insects and female mosquitoes from male ones. So, only female mosquitoes are killed. I hope that such innovations will save millions of people.

Simple rule - Complicated result
New Kind of Science by Stephen Wolfram
The presentation shows how the simple rule (cellular automaton) can have a complicated result and it is not always necessary to have complicated model to explain the complicated phenomenon. It is all in nature with simple rule with no constraints can have a very interesting thing around us like snow flakes.
